Neither a Borrower Nor a Lender Be
Sound familiar? I had to look it up. It's Shakespeare (from Hamlet). Not surprisingly, it's a father counseling his son on the hazards of both borrowing money and lending money to friends. What could be more appropriate 400 years later.
What advice do you give your kids on borrowing and lending? Most parents would line up solidly against both.
But kids today often require an explanation beyond "No" and "Don't." We are here to give you the whys and wherefores so you can explain to your kids how they are much more likely to achieve financial success if they follow Shakespeare's words of wisdom - "Neither a borrower nor a lender be."
