More Preschool Lesson Plans
Illinois Early Learning Project
Most preschoolers do not yet understand the values and uses of money. To help 3- and 4-year-olds become more familiar with money, teachers and caregivers can first engage them in investigations of coins.
Activities include:
- Having a coin wash.
- Sorting and comparing coins.
- Playing with money.
- Investigating coins as objects.
- Finding out more about money activities for young children from other web resources.
Offered in English, Spanish and Polish.
