What Is Money?
Lesson Description
In this activity, participants will practice recognizing, counting, and
understanding the value associated with different coins and bills. The
examples used vary in complexity, beginning with a simple recognition and
continuing through several scenarios of identifying the correct money to use
to buy different items.
Objectives
Students will:
- Identify symbols and representations on coins and bills
- Identify the value of each coin and bill
- Practice counting coin and bill combinations
- Apply the value of money when making purchases
- Students will brainstorm ways to get money
